We are hugely appreciative of the four wonderful ‘Pathways Parents’ who took part in the North Tyneside 10K Road Race, fundraising on our behalf.

The North Tyneside 10K Road Race is an annual Easter Sunday event.  The majority of the route runs along the banks of the River Tyne from North Shields Quays to the mouth of the Tyne, then along the seafront from Tynemouth Priory all the way to St Mary’s Lighthouse.  Arguably one of the most scenic 10K road races, the course is a popular local running event with just over 1700 participants this year; many from running clubs.

We are therefore very proud that all four of our competitors; Claire, Lydia, Tony and Wayne, all completed the course within a respectable time.  Between them, our four competitors raised over £500 for our charity, for which we are very grateful and would like to say a big THANK YOU.

But it doesn’t stop there… both Tony and Wayne are also running the Great North Run on our behalf too.  We look forward to catching up with them both in the months to come.  In the meantime, if you would like to show your encouragement to Tony and Wayne, please make a donation on our Great North Run Fundraising page.

Maybe our North Tyneside 10K competitors have inspired you to take on a fundraising challenge of your own… if so, please visit our events page.   See some of the up-and-coming challenges we are promoting or already have participants entering in.  Alternatively, if you fancy something different, we will support you all the way.  The opportunities are limitless with lots of local, national or even international challenge events searchable online, (please make sure you book through a reputable challenge event organiser).  Whatever you are considering, please get in touch with carol@pathways4all.co.uk who can offer you support with your fundraising and provide you with sponsor forms and a competitor’s T-shirt etc
