Our charity founder and volunteer CEO Lynn McManus, received her MBE medal from Princess Anne at Windsor Castle on Wednesday 8th March. Fittingly, this was International Women’s Day. Lynn was named in the Queen’s Jubilee Honours list last year, shortly before Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth passed.
Lynn’s MBE is in recognition of her services to charity.
Lynn founded North East disabled children’s charity Pathways 4 All in 2010 and the charity subsequently opened the Tim Lamb Children’s Centre in 2012. The Tim Lamb Centre offers specialist play and leisure activities for disabled children and the charity now supports over 1800 disabled children and their families from across the North East region.
In addition to her dedicated volunteering, Lynn has also raised over £1.5 million through fundraising events, including organising 10 charity balls. Her efforts have ensured the continued development of the Tim Lamb Centre’s facilities and wider charitable services.
