Lynn McManus our charity founder and CEO, was chosen to be in the audience of the first episode of the current (2024) series of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. Lynn had been nominated by her daughter Joanna, who accompanied Lynn to the performance. Neither Lynn or Joanna had any expectations from their trip, however they were both surprised and delighted when Ant and Dec awarded everyone in the audience a free All Inclusive holiday for 4.
Joanna said: “We both love the show and it was great to be invited on, and even more amazing that we were each given a holiday in recognition of the work we have done. Ant and Dec were amazing and Simon Cowell came to speak to us personally, I took the opportunity to give him a Tim Lamb Centre wristband and he promised to look us up”.
Joanna nominated her mum Lynn, who was awarded an MBE in 2022, in recognition of her outstanding voluntary contribution over the last 14+ years since founding the charity in 2010.
