We are very grateful to the 21 runners who took part in the 2022 Great North Run, on behalf of our charity, on Sunday 11th September.  The Great North Run returned to the traditional route this year for the first time since covid.  The 13.1 mile long run, starting on the edge of the Newcastle Town Moor and finishing at the Coast Road South Shields.  Our runners were among 60,000 people taking part in the world’s largest half marathon.

Among our runners were 9 staff members from the Tyne Tunnel team plus family, friends and supporters of the charity.

Collectively ‘Team Pathways’ raised in excess of £5650 sponsorship.  We were very lucky to also receive £2,595.91 of match funding from Tyne Tunnels in respect of the money raised by their staff.  This brings the grand total over £8200, with money still coming in.  When we add in gift aid, we are delighted to have raised almost £8,800, (exact amount to be confirmed).
