We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded £10,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund.   The funding is going to be used to revamp the Tim Lamb Centre Soft Play area, to make it Covid safe and will also enable us to make general repairs to the play frame as necessary.
In line with the current published guidance for reopening soft play areas, ball pits have to either be sectioned off and taken out of action until further notice, or the balls have to be removed from the pit.   As the ball pool is a central area within the play frame, sectioning off will not be possible.  Therefore we will need to remove the balls altogether and replace them with a suitable soft play surface.   We recognise the ball pool area is popular with the children, but this change is necessary to minimise the risk of infection.
Alterations to the ball pit and other general maintenance will take place whilst the Tim Lamb Centre remains closed. We will endeavour to have all work completed as soon as possible, to avoid any unnecessary delay to reopening, once we are permitted to do so.
Once work has been completed, we will bring you updated photos.
