It is now 4 months since our enforced closure due to the Covid 19 outbreak. We hope you and your loved ones have remained well during this unprecedented time. As we reach what would be the ‘normal’ school summer holidays, we wanted to update you on our current situation.
As you will be aware we operate most of our charitable activities and services from within the Tim Lamb Centre. As our centre is categorised as an indoor soft play facility, we are currently required to remain closed due to risks associated with infection transmission. The government is yet to give any indication of when indoor play centres will be permitted to reopen or issue any operational guidance. Until this is published and we know exactly what safety conditions need to be in place, we are not able to fully plan a way forward. When this information does become available, we will need time to risk assess, plan and put any necessary alterations into place.
You can rest assured our small and dedicated team, will do our upmost to resume activities as soon as reasonably possible. However, our highest priority must be ensuring the safety of all our members. Therefore, realistically we do not anticipate reopening before autumn at the earliest. We will of course keep this under constant review.
We realise this will come as a huge disappointment to many of our members, all we can do at this stage is apologise for the ongoing inconvenience. We would like to thank you for your patience and hope you will continue to support our charity.
